Welcome to the homepage of the Buckley Society
The Buckley Society is a local society based in Flintshire North Wales, dedicated to promoting historical interest in the Buckley area.
We collect and publish all available information and materials relating to Buckley and District in an annual magazine and arrange monthly talks at Hawkesbury Community Centre. A team of members and volunteers also compile an archive on computer of photographs, documents and information of interest which is sold on disk.
Our average annual membership is 75 and attendance numbers at meetings average around 60 members.
We have many correspondents from around the globe who originate from the town, are descendants from Buckley families or have an interest in the town's heritage.
We welcome enquiries via e mail but ask enquirers to bear in mind that whilst we are happy to check our archives for names or information, we are not a family history society and cannot carry out family history research on behalf of enquirers.
We welcome information about Buckley and district and are always ready to welcome people who can deliver talks on local subjects.
Please use the links on the left of this page to navigate around the site. There are also many links to other local sites of interest listed within these pages.
